Shay Brunderman - Bookkeeper
Shay and her husband, John, moved to Centerville in October 2018 and began attending CCF that December. They have 3 adult sons, Eric, Adam, and Jesse. After a stint in the Air Force, and a long career in Government Finance as a Civil Servant, Shay is thoroughly enjoying retired life and loving being in the Midwest. While serving this great nation in different capacities, she has been blessed to live in, and travel to, many amazing places around the world experiencing so much of God's wondrous creation. Shay loves to cook, entertain, craft, and spend time with her precious family and friends. Her favorite book of the Bible is the Gospel of John.
CJ Burnett - Treasurer
CJ and his wife Kayla have been attending CCF since 2018 and have one son: Cole. CJ completed his undergraduate degree at Cedarville University in 2011 and earned his CPA in 2013. He currently serves as the Controller for Compass Mining. CJ enjoys spending time with his family and some hobbies including investing, weightlifting, and watching basketball and football. His favorite Scripture passage is Ephesians 2:1-10.
Michael Conn - Church Planting Resident
Michael Conn joined the CCF team in 2024 as the Church Planting Resident. He and his wife, Irene, have been married since 2015 and love raising their two children (Cora and Tobias). Michael is a native to southwest/central Ohio and has served the local church there for nearly a decade prior to coming to CCF. He has a B.A. degree in Bible from Bob Jones University, a M.A. degree in Ministry from BJU Seminary, and a Master of Divinity degree from Cedarville University. He enjoys making new friends and spending time with family; some of his favorite authors include Jerry Bridges, Kevin Vanhoozer, and Carl Trueman.
Rebekah Davis - Church Administrator
Rebekah began attending CCF with her family in August of 2012. She is certified in Church Administration through the Church Network, with an emphasis in maintaining financial integrity in the local church. She enjoys living life alongside Mike, her high school sweetheart and husband of over three decades. They have four adult daughters: Rachel, Shannon, Carolyn, and Abby. She enjoys perfectly ripe homegrown tomatoes, cheering on her hometown Kansas City Chiefs, and making memories through travel. Her favorite book of the Bible is 1 Thessalonians, a timeless encouragement to the Church.
Kate Flaum - Children’s Ministry Director
Kate joined the Children’s Ministry leadership team in July of 2019. Kate and her husband, Nathan, have attended CCF since 2006. They have two daughters, Kenzie and Addison. She has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Malone College (now University). Kate enjoys spending time with her family, reading, creating digital photo books, and anything related to coffee & chocolate. Her favorite book of the Bible is Ephesians.
Chelsea Hezel - Female Biblical Counselor
Chelsea began attending CCF in September 2021. She is an ACBC certified biblical counselor. In 2020, she graduated from The Master’s University with a B.A. in biblical counseling. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Zach, since 2007 and they have three children: Nola, Clara, and Eli. Chelsea grew up in a military family, and her husband is an active duty member of the Air Force. She enjoys her summer garden, traveling with her family, and hosting friends for dinner. Some of her favorite authors are J.C. Ryle, R.C Sproul, and Michael Reeves.
Taylor Ivester - Associate Pastor (Mobilization)
Taylor Ivester is the Associate Pastor of Mobilization at CCF and joined the team in July 2021. He is married to Michele Ivester and they have three kids (Isabella, Grady, and Lily Grace). Taylor has bachelor degrees in Exercise Science and Nursing from Appalachian State University and UNC-Chapel Hill. He also has an MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Taylor is from Pfafftown, NC and enjoys spending time with his bride, his kids, and good friends, all things sports, exercise, learning about new cultures, hunting, fishing, and hiking. Jim Elliot, a missionary martyr who served in Ecuador, has had a significant influence on his life and ministry. Taylor enjoys listening to 9Marks Missions Talk and reading books by Paul David Tripp and Danny Akin.
Micah Johnson - Pastoral Assistant
Micah Johnson, also known as Mallard, has been a member at CCF since 2020. He became Pastoral Assistant in July 2024. He is a graduate of Cedarville University's M.Div. program. Micah enjoys hiking, reading books, reading and writing poetry, and watching Phillies baseball. His favorite authors include Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Anselm of Canterbury, and the church fathers. His favorite book of the Bible is John.
Jake LaCroix - Youth Minister
Jake LaCroix has been involved with the youth group at CCF since 2020. In July 2024, he joined the team as Youth Minister. He and his wife, Erin, have been married since 2022. Jake is originally from Dallas, Texas, and enjoys spending time with his wife and friends, coffee, reading good books, and watching Dallas sports. He has a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Cedarville University. His life and ministry have been shaped by pastors and writers such as Ray Ortlund, John Piper, and Mark Dever. One of Jake's favorite chapters of the Bible is Romans 8.
Amy Porter - Administrative Assistant
Amy began attending CCF with her family in 2017. She has 4 children: Isaac, Andrew, Grace, and Hope. In addition to homeschooling her children, Amy enjoys reading, playing games with her children, spending time with friends, and everything involving animals. Some of her favorite authors are R.C. Sproul, Timothy Keller, and John Piper.
Nick Rundlett - Associate Pastor (Equipping)
Nick Rundlett joined the CCF team in September 2017 as Associate Pastor. He and his wife, Joyce, have been married since 2008 and they have four kids, Noah, James, Grace and Luke. Nick grew up in Michigan and loves all things Michigan, including Detroit sports teams and the University of Michigan. Nick has a Bachelor's Degree in Bible from Clarks Summit University, a Master's Degree in Church Ministry from Shepherds Theological Seminary and a Master's degree in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nick enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his wife and kids. He has been greatly influenced by pastors and writers such as Charles Spurgeon, Paul David Tripp, R.C. Sproul, and J.I. Packer.
Megan Prion - Youth Ministry Assistant
Megan began attending CCF in March of 2015. She is grateful for the youth ministry, where she first heard and believed the gospel. She became a youth ministry assistant in 2022, and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Sports Science at Wright State University. Megan enjoys hiking, reading, visiting a good coffee shop, and spending time with her friends. One of her favorite chapters in the Bible is John 21.
Erik Spohr - Lead Pastor
In January 2011 Erik Spohr became the Lead Pastor of CCF where he provides primary leadership in the areas of preaching/teaching, theological direction, and leading the CCF ministry team. Next to following Jesus, his greatest joy is being married to his wife, Tara, and raising their four children (two sons and two daughters).
Originally from Michigan, Erik holds a bachelors degree in Biblical Studies & Pastoral Leadership (Cincinnati Christian University), a masters degree in Theological Studies (Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary), and is currently completing a doctorate in Applied Theology (The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary). When time permits Erik enjoys working out, cycling, and travel.
Matt Thornburg - Associate Pastor (Worship & Operations)
Matt has led musical worship at CCF since joining in April 2015. In November 2022 he joined staff in a full-time role as the Associate Pastor of Worship & Operations. He has a B.A in Music and a minor in Church Music from Cedarville University. He also spent 17 years in the corporate world with 7 of those years in Operations Management before joining the staff full-time. He is married to Jody and they have two children: Beck and Ridge. Matt is originally from Urbana, Ohio and now resides in Bellbrook. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, coffee, and Reds baseball. Some of his favorite authors include JI Packer and Michael Reeves. One of his favorite Scripture passages is Romans 11:33-36.
