James 5:13-20: The Power of Prayer

Sermon Overview

Main Idea: Wherever you’re at, pray.

  1. Prayer helps those who are suffering (v. 13)

  2. Prayer helps those who are sick (vv. 14-15)

  3. Prayer helps those who are straying (vv. 15-20)

Reflection:

  • What role does the church have in praying for one another?

  • How should we pray for healing? How should we process times when God does not heal?

  • Why is it so important for us to confess our sins to one another? What are the dangers of not living in the light?

  • Do you have anyone you regularly confess sins to? Is there anyone you need to confess to this week?

  • What is the letter of James all about? And what is something you want to take away from our study of this book?
