Reflection

  • What is God’s purpose in the plagues, and what does that tell us about his mercy?

  • Do you find it frightening that the Egyptian magicians were able to do some signs similar to the plagues? How does God demonstrate his power over them, and why can this encourage us when we think about spiritual warfare?

  • Read 2 Corinthians 7:8-10. What is the difference between godly grief and worldly grief? What are some characteristics of false repentance that we can see in Pharaoh in tonight’s text?

  • How do we see God’s character on display through the plagues?
